Pump Faulty - Whirlpool Dishwasher ADP6000IX ?

An earlier question isolated my pump as faulty - on my Whirlpool Dishwasher ADP6000IX.

Can anyone tell me (step by step instructions) how I replace it?

Lana,
You need to disconnect everything, take the dishwasher outside (somewhere where water on the ground won't make a mess). Remove the two lower screws on both sides of the back (the ones that hold the outer steel to the frame). Remove also the screws along the bottom that screw into the yellow base plate. Lay the dishwasher down on it's back so you can see the base of the unit. Remove the kickplate that sits below the door (there are little clips inside the front legs that hold it on), it should pop right off. Unscrew the side shields that sit either side of the kickplate and the bottom 2 screws here also. Now remove the screws along the now top edge that screw into the yellow baseplate. On one side carefully pry the side of the dishwasher shell away from the base plate then once clear pull the baseplate out. Do the same on the other side, being carefull not to damage the flost switch and cables that are screwed to the baseplate. Once you have the baseplate free you will be able to see the float switch. It's screwed to the baseplate with 2 screws which you now remove. The main pump is the large white pump in the midlle of the unit. You will need to cut the existing pipe clamps that secure the respective pipes to the pump and disconnect the electrical terminals. Replace the pipe clamps with generic hose clamps of a similar size. If you are replacing the waste water pump, it is the small grey pump on the bottom righthand side. The pipe and electrical connections are much the same.
Installation is the reverse. It's actually pretty straight forward and you do not need to completely remove the outer case!!
Of course alternatively you could pay an overpriced repairman to do it for you!
Goodluck
