i have a rowenta steam iron thats leaking ?

i have a rowenta steam iron model # 1500W. it has a retractable cord that it wet when i go to plug in the outlet and now its leaking a brown coffee like substance any sugeestions for these problems?

leaking and a brown stain sounds sounds like a rust hole in the tank, really needs to be dismantled to source the leak unless you are lucky and its just the rubber seal ring
