Bosch Exxcel washer/dryer problem!?

My Bosch Exxcel Washer Dryer (WVD2452BGB) has a problem. The washer heater element seemingly broke, so I replaced it. Now when I try a wash cycle, it seems to take longer than expected, constantly run water through the detergent drawer (on the main compartment), and won't drain properly - probably because of the water from the detergent drawer constantly running. Also the water doesn't feel warm at all either.

Any suggestions as to why this would be?
