how do i fix a faulty baumatic dishwasher?

you can't over fill the salt other than it pouring out the top when trying to fill it.as long as the lid goes on tight job done.excess salt gets flushed away when you next switch it on to wash.Are you sure salt has caused the issue or is it just coincidental?.sometimes when filling the salt from empty can cause the light to stay on.remove the salt lid and pour water in to the salt container whilst stirring it with a wooden spoon.this is to try dissolve salt in to a brine solution
