Mend Vax Power Summer Working

Overheating and no suction?

I brought a vax power midi scent of summer it was working emptyed the cylinder and now there is no suction and its over heating please help this is twice now as iv exchanged the other one

If it is a bagless vacuum cleaner,it will have a number of filters, including HEPA, which need regular cleaning &/or washing. Also check that the hose (if it has one) is not bunged up.
