so sm,you are an engineer are you...it could be the switch,or a serious power supply blow up.two pound fifty part equates to fifty quid to most engineers.thats why we exist.ah well now thats over with..could you be a little more specific on the make of your set...its like saying my car wont go ...

the problem is a three pin transistor it costs about 2.50 for the part so don't let the engineer tell you otherwise.
This happened to mine three weeks ago fortunatly im covered by curries insurance so that was ok.
