I have a fisher paykel washer, it started smoking and I could smell a hot wire smell, so I turned it off. My husband said that it was the pump. So we ordered a new one. Followed the instructions to replace it, and now it won't drain. What do you think is wrong?
I know the burning was coming from the pump. I do agree that it probably messed up the control board though.

It probably wasn't the pump at fault. Call a professional.

Was the pump that you took out burnt or showing other signs of having overheated? If it burnt out badly then it may of damaged the control board as well.
