Mend Hotpoint TCM580 Tumble Dryer Appliance

water overflowed into the back of the aquarius hotpoint dryer tcm580?

I forgot to empty my condencer dryer and the water has flooded the dryer. i have emptied the water, but it fuses the house when i turn it on! It is less than a year old and i will be charged £150 by the hotpoint engineer, if they think it is my fault!! Is there anything i can do?
