1. Remove the plastic button.
Use a flat scewdriver and slide it down the flat side of the button. Lever it inwards to release a little 'latch' which keeps the button in place. Pull the button out.
2. Remove the silver screw.
Use a small allen key or small screwdiver.
3. Slide the switch housing upwards.
4. Note the positions of the 4 plastic connector sleeves an prise them off using a flat screwdriver.
5. Using a Stanley knife or similar cut a slit down one side of the plastic sleeve. Prise the sleeves open with a screwdriver to release the connector. Retain the sleeves for reuse.
6. 'Uncrimp' the connectors. A plastic headed thumb tack is quite a useful tool for this job.
7. Cut off 6" of flex, strip back, replace crimped connectors, replace plastic sleeves reconnect to switch as they were before. Reassemble. Save yourself £39!!
