Mend Sunbeam MMb Find Holds Broken

where can I find the hook that holds the beater on the stand?

The hook that holds the beater on the stand has broken and the beater needs a new hook. Beater is a sunbeam mixmaster, service no. mmb. Is such a part available?

I took the old latch off the beater stand,found a piece of 1/2" aluminum 2" by 2" ,traced the shape onto the aluminum bar, cut it on my band saw and drilled out the pivot hole and then ground out the interior to fit the tension spring, put it back on and now the stand is better than new.

I checked with Sunbeam and was informed that all parts for that model were no longer available.Suggested checking flea markets or garage sales for possibility of finding a stand or mixer that could be used for parts for my problem
As for DB, your answer was not very hospitable and did not help with what I needed. Thanks anyway

Have a look on the internet. Do you people think that we have nothing better to do than find items for them because they can't be bothered to look for themselves. You've got a computer, use it.
