Mend Nissan Cabstar Diesel Glow Plugs Starting Problem

Cabstar starting problem?

2000 cabstar takes 5 minutes ish to start then covers whole street in smoke. whats the answer? new glow plugs fitted but no change. soon to fit new starter if this continues

If it turns over in that time, Not starter motor. So what does it do in that time? have you checked air filter. sounds as if it is turning over, and you are filling the exhaust with fuel, which then burns as it starts.
