If you have a free serve top box ensure the scart lead is connected to the top box and in the tv scart socket then obviously other end to tv. Ensure top box shows 'green on light'.
Ensure you have the main aerial connected on top box to aerial IN and aerial/signal out to tv.
You may need to re-set your top box so reset under new/first installation auto search that's the setting I used then ended up with a perfect picture once the setting was complete. I's a pain in the butt as this has happened three times but twice in different areas with caravan and top box has to be reset to the area it seems. Some people think you don't need a scart lead I've found nothing works without one.
Also I have found some times when it plays up is switching tv and top box off at powere sockets and waiting 30 secs then turning on again seems to 'kick arse' in the controls to work properly again.
