I have a Spl-1506x that has lost all power in the shredder head?

I had a switch on the left front of the shredder head that was causing problems. I worked on that switch by pulling it out and down so now it will make contact every time you push the bin back in. Now the head doesn't have any electric coming to it at all. Is there a switch inside or a relay or something that I can replace? I haven't taken it apart yet, thought I would email you first. The outlet does have power. I think I have had the unit approx. 4 years, it has been a great machine up until now.
