How do I fix the alarm on my wall clock?

I have a 31 day clock. My clock will not strike the correct number of chimes for the hour. How do I adjust the chimes so that they strike the correct number of times at the correct hour. We inherited the clock and on the front of the clock reads "31 Day". We do not know the model number.
