Can I fix the catch on a Kenwood DishwasherKDW12ss/B?

Hi,

The door won't shut on the dishwasher as the catch wont engage. I believe it's the metal part inside which the plastic prongs push against to open and shut the catch. There only seems to be a metal plate on one side which makes a clicking sound when you use something to push against it. Perhaps the other side has broken off ? Is this fixable ?
