How can I attempt to fix my tumble drier?

I have a compact Creda Simplicity dryer. Model no: T312VW. It was going ok, I took the load out, put a new load in - nothing, wouldn't start. No smell of burning, altho' it sometimes got quite hot. All I've done is remove back, cleaned lint filter which was alot, removed all fluff I could see and sprayed switches at back with swith cleaner. The doors always been a bit loose, you can lift it maybe half to 1", could this be problem/
