Mend Rover Colt 8 Piece Broken Key

rover colt 8?

have old rover colt 8 ride on, it will only run in reverse due to piece broken off key in gearbox. have been trying to get another key but have been told they do not make them anymore is there another brand that might fit. the gears are only reverse and forward
