Mend Samsung ER-290 After Paper Jam

After a paper jam on a Samsung ER-290,?

the till roll has no friction, it will pull and push back and forth, so will not fed as prices are entered. All gears seem to be functioning ok. The metal plate above the till feed does seem a bit out of shape after ham fisted work by the person who cleared the jam. Any suggestions please?
