Ice maker doesn't work since we lost power for 5 days?

I think the ice maker is not getting water because when the ice maker dumped ice none came out. I don't think its getting water. can I manually put water in the ice maker to see if it works. If not how do I test it so water can flow into the ice maker. During the power outage the refrigerator was hooked to a generator. But was shut off every four hours during the 5 days. Well water was not working.
