Hi hope you can help me, i have a singer 538 sewing machine, when i press the pedal it is smoking and machine is running by itself when switched on, any idea on how i can fix this? Many Thanks
no need to replace,manufacturers have to put it in by telecommunication law. glad to be of help

Hello I have removed the square bit which had gone brown (cut the wire either side), it now works fine! Should this piece be replaced?? Many thanks for ur help!!

open pedal and locate suppressor(small round or sqaure thing with 2 wires).remove and check again.if problem persist replace with universal pedal
