Mg ZT engine just stopped?

i was driving my MG ZTT and the engine just stopped, it has fuel, and only done 80k, i checked the fuel pump to see if it was getting power, not sure, now it wont even engage the startrer like it is disabled as it throws the headlights on when this happens, any ideas cheers John
