How can I fix the rubber seal onto my replaced 2002 renault megane?

have the plastic rear window of my renault megane zipped in and after struggling with the contact glue and finally gluing it in with another brand I have a problem putting the rubber seal on. The instructions say to just place it but it's not working. I reckon I need to glue it. Does anyone know?
