How can I get LXI TV out of demo mode?

My LXI TV has somehow gotten into demo mode and the features continuously scroll down the screen. Any know the trick to turning this off?

Own a 15 yr old LXI Sears 27 inch television that started displaying the demo scroll mode. Tried the suggestion of holding the CONTROL left arrow down for 3 seconds and that annoying demo scroll stopped. Thank you!!

Thank you very much! Held the control up (+) button for 3 seconds in Cable Video Input and it got rid of that damned demo.

put tv in video mode with a/v button. then hold right control button down for 3-5 seconds. demo should go away. now go back to tv with a/v button. set should still be OK!

We have a 27" LXI at least 10 years old & my 1 year old grandson put it into demo mode while playing with it. I just pressed control left for 3 seconds while in TV mode & its' fine.

I do not know how to get my TV into video mode, we no longer have the remote. Can anybody help?

Holding the 'Control UP' key 3 seconds then releasing in TV mode did it for me. Thanks to all. -T

This was a problem for me too!! I tried all the ideas here and the one that worked best for me was holding the control buttons down at the same time, then independantly left right multiple times for 20 seconds and now... I can see tv without the demo scroll!!!!!!

yup, all ya gotta do is put tv in a/v mode and hold control up for 3 secs, and it fixed it!! (button on far right under flap)

wow! im a tech support agent for sears and i had a customer call in with this question. with the help of these answers got us out of the demo mode. we had trouble figuring which was control up but it was the plus sign used to increase adjustments on tv under the flap as others have said. holding it down for 3-4 seconds while tv in av 1 mode. thanks for the help you guys

Hello! The control button worked on my TV, but I did'nt have
to put it in A/V mode first. It worked in tv mode also.

Put TV in a/v mode and press the control button on the right (under the flap at the bottom) for 3-4 seconds. Works like a charm.

The volume didn't work for me.

I did have success by holding down the "control" key on the inside fron panel (underneath the little door-flap).

I tried holding both controls and then the left and right ones separately. I think it was the right button that worked.

found the answer to mine!! You go in a/v mode and press the control up button (under the flip down on the bottom of the tv set) for 3 seconds and it flashs, then BAM happy again! PS tv needs to be on and IN AV MODE!!

I have the same trouble with my tv, and the holding vol + and vol - thing doesnt work....my brother has done it in the past and it does have something to do with holding buttons on the set...but i cant get anything to work...please help!

Try holding down vol+ and vol- at the same time (on the set, not the remote).
I'm not sure how long, 15- 30 seconds should do it if it's the model I think it is.
