How can I fix my Zanussi TC-481 condensing dryer?

The machine has just developed a loud rumble coming from the back during operation. It still rotates freely when switched on. I suspect it could be the main drum support bearing. Is this possible and if so is it a relatively easy job for an enthusiastic DIY'er? Alternatively what will it cost to get the experts in?
