Hi, I pressed the on/off button on my dishwasher and it disappeared into the machine! I can unscrew the metal plate on the reverse of the door, but then what...? Will I need a new switch or is it likely to be another part? I haven't actually taken it to bits yet as I suspect I'll end up with it all over the kitchen if I can't fix it there and then. It's an Indesit DG6145 model.
Hi, thanks for this. Yes, it was the switch which had broken off but we superglued it back while in the on position and now it's usable (as long as I don't press it again!). I just have to open the door while turning the selector dial to avoid a program starting, then shut the door to set it going. Thanks again.

usually due to the switch braking off the control panel. This will then require a fascia panel if it is the problem!!
