Mend Hotpoint VTD20P

hotpoint vtd20p blowing cold air?

Some workmen doing job in our house stored some items on the dryer outlet hose and blocked it.
Wife found dryer blowing cold air, so I checked it and found blocked hose.
Is there a heat sensor that could have stopped the heater getting too hot? If so, can I replace it myself?
