Mend Creda Bravo 2000W Heater Filled Working

How can I fix my Creda Bravo 2000W oil heater?

I have a 9 fin, 2kW oil filled heater which was working perfectly well and has now just stopped working. The water reservoir was found to be dry but this only adds humidity to the air. It is 11 years old but not used very often. It was plugged directly into a working power socket. Wires are not loose.
