How do I fit a new lid to Bosch formula 1800W vacuum cleaner?

We broke the hinge pins off the lid of our Bosch formula 1800W vacuum cleaner so I ordered a new lid from Bosch eShop. When I just tried to fit it I realsied that I will have to disassemble the bracket that holds the lid hinge pins in place. This bracket is held in place by at least two clips and I cannot get it off. I don't want to use too much force in case I break the retaining clips. Does anyone have disassembly instructions or can tell me how to fit the new lid please?
