Ariston A1637 Delay Timer not working?

Hi,

I followed the instructions on setting the delay timer (Ariston A1637) , but every time I do it, it doesnt work - i come down the next morning and it's still flashing and the clothes are dry.

Does anyone know a procedure how to get it to work?
