Mend Murray 38633x92a Lawn Tractor Belt Tension

adjusting belt on Murray lawn tractor?

My belt that runs the blades on the deck keeps popping off when I disengage the pulley. The belt also slips on the pulley, so I am thinking I need to adjust the belt tension. How? The belt is new and is the proper length. Murray 12.5 hp, 38633x92a
