hi i had the same problem on a previous scenic it was caused by a build up of mud behind the plastic under the front wheel arch the piece that goes all the way around. unsrew and pull away by where it it fits at the bottom by scill and you will see the buid up of mud washing with a hose when you was the car will keep it away just in the groove were the sill and wing meet
