I removed back of cooler. The circut board to which the power cord is connected has two black cylindrical units on it with silver tops that are cut into quarters. One has gotten hot and has swollen and will smoke when left powered up and the fan will click on and off. Need replacement for circut board and power cord.

I'd get an electronics (computer or stereo shop) to replace the capacitor on the board. Otherwise, that's just a 5amp 12v power supply which could be had at an electronics store for about $20
