why wont my g1 boot past the triangle and exclamation point screen?

Ok, so I dropped my phone in water 2 days ago and I used the rice idea to dry it out and it worked but now I'm having another problem. The problem is when I turn my phone on, the tmobile g1 logo comes on but instead of going to the android screen then my phone goes to a reboot screen that has an exclamation point, triangle and g1 picture. How can I possibly make this not occur ?
