Mend Renault Scenic 1.8 Problem Petrol

how can i sort fuel filling problem on 2003 renault scenic 1.8 petrol?

When trying to fill my Renault Scenic 1.8 petrol up with fuel the fuel backs up in the filler pipe causing the petrol pump to keep cutting out I am led to believe this may be a problem with the filler pipe being out of line?, has anybody else experienced this problem and if so what is the fix for this problem?

i used to have this problem years ago. the cause was a blocked /damaged breather pipe, running down alongside the filler tube,causing back pressure and slowing the fule intake,
