poor or no spark?

I have removed the pull starter and the clutch. Coil and connections seem to be in good order. The coil measures 4.9 K ohms from the plug cap to ground, so the coil is not open. As I think the plug wire has hi resistance conductor the measured value my be OK. The spark went it works is weak and some times there is no spark. The on-off switch is OK.
