my bike aint sparking?

my bike was running fine but my lights werent working so i got new bulbs but they still wernt working lol so i took all my pladtics off and under my bike there was a yellow wire and it had snapped so i reatached it put my bike back together and now its not sparking and my lights only work when i put my back brake in??? lol can you help me ???
