Machine makes alot of noise but doesnt seem to do anything?

I have a Diplomat dishwasher (model:ADP8332) When I close the door, none of the rotory arms seem to be moving and there are no splashing sounds coming from inside. There is a trickling sound coming from the machine but when I open the door to have a look theres just a pool of water in the bottom. The machine also doesnt display any fault code. Can anyone offer some advice? Arms have been removed, cleaned and replaced. cant work it out?
