Re electrical fault?

Periodically the engine management light appears, the oil light appears displaying low oil pressure and the gauge tells you that there is no petrol depite the fact that there is. The central locking also doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Previous diagnostics tests showed nothing and nothing was stored. However, I will try Kwikfit and will try the battery to see if this effective.

Thanks for your help and I'll let you know how I get on!

It's also possible the alternator is putting out too much power. This can cause systems to shut down to protect themselves.

Most garages and places like kwik-fit etc. will check the battery and alternator output free of charge. You should be able to watch them do the test so you dont get ripped off. Try a few different places.

Ideally you should get it on some good quality diagnostics to check what engine management fault codes have been stored, but that will cost you.

sounds like a dead battery. Either the battery is knackered or the alternator is not charging the battery..either way the battery is not giving enough power out. Connect another car with jump leads and see if its battery power solves your problems, (your battery is under the passenger seat by the way) send another message to tell me if this works
