You can get chrome extensions for the rad valves..you can get different lengths try a plumb centre..

or you can drop the rad down the wall 2 ins to meet the pipe if you can?

try add on to the pipe,with a push on connector,and a little more pipe, the push on connecter,or teck tight as its known , is very easy to fit,
