unblock a canister Kenmore vacuum hose?

Dear People,
How do you unblock a Kenmore canister vacuum hose Model 116 24212403? Both ends of the hose have an attached molded part that curves, so I can't get a broom handle inside to unblock the cat hair. Thanks!
