how do i change ignition switch on a vauxhall corsa?
the ignition switch has sheared the spindle at the end of the lock barrel and i need to get the old unit off to fit a new one, i have removed the cowling around the column, the steering wheel and indicator storks ect and i am left with a metal section that is fitted around the steering column i have drilled out the roll pin at the top but the metal sections is still not moving is there something else holding it in place?
IIRC a 3mm allen key can be pushed in to the hole to release the lock after, as CDC states, turning key to position 1.
Get yourself a Haynes manual.

think it has to be in position 1 on the key to be removed and look for a very small hole on the top of the shroud to insert a fine pin punch to release the lock
