Error while copying Music from PC to MD model NZ-NF810?

i use sonic stage the pc detects the MD and shows all its contents but i cant seem to add new songs to the MD converting happens but while saving the display on the MD gives and "ERROR" message what might be causing this?

have the same unit mine just gives me an read err and record err. minidisk suggests head and lens cleaner. lots of luck, these units work great, but when they break, looks like sony doesn't want them back, built in buy a new one after 3 or 4 years
