Mend TomTom go 700 Start Up Screen

TomTom go 700 red flashing cross on start up screen?

when I switch my sat nav on I get a flashing white cross in a red box, I did not back my system up when I bought this satnav so I can not do a back up , any ideas how to proceed , is it repairable. ??
