Mend Diplomat 610 Oven Fault Temperature

Diplomat 610....Fan fault?

Just moved into property with Diplomat 610.

The oven seems to work ok but the fan comes on intermittently. Is there a safety device to switch the fan on if it goes above a certain temperature or should the fan be on all the time? If its a fault any suggestions to find fault please.
