Mend Battery Engine Intermittent

almrea automatic wont start ?

new battery, alternator charging will only start intermittingly just making a click sound no attempt to start engine. when does start rev counter jumps upto 8 but engine revs are fine when this happens?

You probably have a bad earth. The starter soleniod will click off when starter motor uses all the power and click on as it gets enough power to energize again. (repeated clicking)
