skoda help needed!!asap?

Hi, i hope you can help my skoda fabia 1.4 mpi 8v is very noisy from cold start like tappets it is very juddery on tick over and smells like fumes in the heaters and around the car theres also a distintive coolent smell around car and bonnet, The car does not use any water and the oil seems fine to. There is no white gunk to be seen anywhere on or in the engine it does spit a fair bit of moisture from the exhast but it stops after about 10-15 mile when the engine is hot, although the engine never goes above half on the gauge???? any ideas would be greatly appriciated :)
