HOW CAN I FIX MY VECTRA?

MY VECTRA 1800CC CLUB HAS STARTED TO CUT OUT I CHANGED THE AIR MAS METER BUT HAS NO CHANGE IT DOES NOT CUT OUT ALL THE TIME.IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BIT SLUGISH BUT I CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER,PLUGS,AIR FILTER BUT NO CHANGE IDONT KNOW IF THESE TWO PROBLEMS ARE RELATED.ITS A 1999 MODEL.

Remove the idle control valve, clean with carb cleaner and replace. This solution will last about 6 months until it need doing again. If you also clean the pipes connected to the valve with a straightened paper clip, you will get an even longer fix!! It is a common fault on veccies, but at least this will get you through winter.
