why is blue smoke blowing from my nissan serena 1970cc diesel automatic?
there is blue smoke blowing from my serena it starts up no problem and ticks over fine but it will not rev over 2000rpm and loses power it is automatic transmision diesel engine
My serena is an import 1st manufactured in japan in 1991 but arrived in the UK in 2001 it has done 81000 miles it starts up no problem engine ticks over no problem but wont rev over 2000rpm and blows blue smoke out i only purchased the vehicle 4 week ago after it had been stood for 3 years on the sellers drive without being moved

for a motor over 40 years old you have nt said what mileage it has done but it may be due an engine overhaul
