if you have a slider or knob to recirculate the heat then turn it off this option you need to let air in from the engine bay

Yes - open a window - open all the windows and doors - ventilate as much and as often as you can - run the blower full-blast on cold to move the air around - drive around with all the windows open. Park with windows open or partially open whenever you can.
