My Singer Stylist 834 needs a replacement gear for the feed shaft (the larger gear). I have been told that even though it may be easy to install the part, it is difficult to get the "timing" correct (resulting in broken needles). Is it really that hard to get the timing correct after installing the new gear? If is isn't difficult, how is it done?
I can attach timing instructions and how to change the top gear if you type my address as you say it not as you see it, the biggest problem will be getting the body apart if it is a two piece body, remind me of your problem if you email me.
